A self-help name-change service
Change Your Name turns the details of your marriage, divorce, or chosen name change into a personalized checklist: which agencies to contact, in what order, with the forms already filled from what you told us. You review each one, sign it, and submit it yourself. We prepare paperwork; we don't file it for you, and we never see or hold your government ID documents.
What we are not
We are not a law firm, we are not your attorney, and using Change Your Name does not create an attorney-client relationship. Nothing on this site — checklists, guides, form selections, or copy — is legal advice; it's general information plus document preparation. If your situation is unusual (a contested name, an immigration question, a name-restoration clause missing from a decree), talk to a licensed attorney in your state.
